Hiking is a popular activity of visitors of the park. There are over 150 km of maintained trails offering
a variety of hikes of differing difficulty. There are short walks, day-long and overnight hikes. The
most famous of these hikes being the Grey Owl Trail.
Fishing is another favourite of Waskesiu visitors. A National Park fishing permit is required to fish in
park waters. Permits and regulations are available from the Visitor Reception Centre, park gate
kiosks, campground kiosks, and marinas.
There are seven beaches along the shores of Waskesiu offering a relaxing atmosphere for a day in
the sun. Other outdoor activities include cycling, lawn bowling, tennis (6 courts), playing baseball at
the diamonds, biking, basketball and horseshoes.
Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking , ice fishing and camping.
There are a variety of stores for shopping, two movie theatres, and a variety of places to catch a bite to eat.

The townsite of Waskesiu and surrounding area offer an array of accommodation options for all visitors. From upscale resorts to your own getaway in the woods, the Waskesiu area has facilities to meet any budget or taste.
The Beaver Glen campground is far from roughing it, but far enough away from the townsite to feel as though your in total seclusion. For those travelling in your RV or motorhome, there no better place to park your rig than in the heart of the Waskesiu townsite.
